It is with great sadness that I have to inform all our readers of the death of Douglas Steen, who died peacefully in his sleep on the 13th June 2012, following a long battle against cancer.

He was a great supporter of rural activities.

His articles have been published far and wide.

Douglas was a great character and will be missed enormously by all who knew him.
